BETHANY REEVES
Bethany
Reeves pursues a multi-faceted career in music and theatre, as performer,
teacher and director. Ms. Reeves teaches voice and directs the choir at
Stevens Institute of Technology. As
a soprano she has sung with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and worked
extensively with
New York
’s adventurous American Chamber Opera Company, including premieres of
custom-written work. Her most recent premieres are of works written for
her by composer James Redcay, also a teacher at the
Dieckow
School
. Ms. Reeves is a founding member of the Actors Shakespeare Company, in
residence at
New Jersey
City
University
, with whom she is an actress, stage director, and voice and text coach.
Recent directorial credits outside ASC include Opera at
Rutgers
University
, and the Berkshire Opera Company. Ms. Reeves is a doctoral candidate in
voice at
Rutgers
, where she most recently appeared in the title role of Handel’s
“Athalia.”
