2010 - 2011 Calendar of Events

All School and school-sponsored concerts are given at the St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church at 8th and Hudson Streets in Hoboken, NJ.

The Saint Matthew Steinway Model D concert grand piano was built in 1883. A mystery piano, there is no record in the church archives of when it was given to the church or by whom.

In 1995 a fund raising campaign was begun to renovate the instrument and in just a few short months friends of the Dieckow School of Music and of the church had raised the full amount. The renovation was completed by October of 1995 and was done by Ted Dobek.

Following the renovation of the St. Matthew concert grand piano the church renovated and refurbished the parish hall in which it was housed, through church funds and benefit concerts.

Due to generous response to our spring of 2004 fund-raiser, the Steinway is now in its permanent home in the sanctuary of the St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church. St. Matthew Church The October 17th concert, by Phillip Dieckow, not only dedicated the new home for the piano but was the first concert of the new series "Great Music at St. Matthew Trinity Series" - a series of free concerts offered to the community of Hoboken."

The church is located at Eighth and Hudson Streets in Hoboken, NJ.
